Bill Check is free and is not part of BEL. We ask for your name and email once.
Bill Check is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) or the Public Utilities Commission, and it cannot see your BEL account.
The explanation is an estimate built from the numbers you enter, the weather in your district, and typical appliance figures. It is a guide, not a meter reading, and it does not replace your bill.
We use your email for occasional updates about Bill Check, such as when the COPA rate changes. Unsubscribe any time. It is never shared with BEL. We also keep your IP address and the type of browser and device you use with your visit, so we can help if something goes wrong. A cookie in your browser remembers for a year that you gave your name and email, so we don't ask again.
We need a few numbers from your latest BEL bill. Adding your previous bill lets us explain what changed.
We read the numbers from it and fill them in below for you to check.
We read the billing period, the consumption and the total, circled here.
Got a paper bill? A photo of the whole bill works too.
The picture is read once and not kept.

With them we show how this bill compares with your usual month, and what the extra electricity is like. Without them we can only guess from your appliances.
Optional, but it lets us explain what changed and checks the estimate against what your home really used.
